The firing order above is correct for 5.4 and 4.6L coil on plug, It doesn't matter which coil goes on which spark plug, the wiring connector does matter. In the diagram you can see coil wire color for each cylinder, The voltage wires are the same color, the ground wire color is different, make sure you get it on the proper coil.
